Welcome to Lokey Boy Coffee.

Lokey Boy Coffee is named after Lokey — an Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who came into my life when I was young, unsure, and finding my footing.

Lokey had idiopathic epilepsy and spent years on three daily medications, but you’d never know it by the way he lived. He loved everyone and stayed happy through it all. A family had gotten him as a tiny pup and quickly realized their plate was just too full to keep him. A friend sent me his photos, and I basically said yes to him the moment I saw his face. From that day forward, he became my constant through every transition — moves, growing pains, uncertainty, and change.

For ten years, life revolved around him. On his hardest days, he had a village looking out for him - looking out for us. In turn, on my hardest days, he was what got me up and out of bed.

Every morning followed the same rhythm: let Lokey out, feed him, give him his meds — and make a cup of coffee. That small routine became grounding, steady, and necessary.

Lokey crossed over the rainbow bridge on August 10, 2025, and it was afterwards that I realized how much he shaped me — my patience, my loyalty, my sense of responsibility, and my understanding of unconditional love.

Lokey Boy Coffee was created to honor the best part of those mornings I miss so much: coffee and Lokey. It’s a reminder that the simple rituals, and the ones who show up every day, are what carry us through.

We’re currently working toward finding and partnering with a local animal adoption shelter to make recurring donations to, because dogs like Lokey deserve a lifetime of love.
